The 27th Northern Microcar Rally saw us at a new venue The Carriage House, Marsden near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.  We were up on the wild and windy moors (add fog and torrential rain too!) close to the Lancashire border.

The weather was rather a challenge, however by Thursday evening we were warmly ensconced inside The Carriage House enjoying their hospitality, food and drink.

Fridays run took us to the Carding Shed at Hepworth home of the Oil Can Café with vintage retro shops and vehicle display where we had an enjoyable lunch.

Next destination was Holmfirth of Last of the Summer Wine fame with the opportunity to visit Compos Café and Nora Batty's house steps.

On Saturday we set off in murky conditions but the weather brightened somewhat before our arrival at Hollingworth Lake.

The afternoon saw us heading the parade at the Milnrow and Shaw Carnival - a Micro Maniacs Club first!

On Saturday evening we returned to the comfort of the bar. Tom's quiz, raffle and our awards ceremony.  This was followed by an evening of karaoke with Keith and Tom starring as Micro Maniacs Club's answer to Robson and Jerome - who knew?
